L.J. Sevin
Strategic Partner
“LJ” is a founding partner of Sevin Rosen Funds and an Advisor and Strategic Partner in the three CenterPoint Funds. He was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mostek Corporation, a leading MOS memory technology company. LJ was a founding investor in Compaq Computer, Convex Computer, Cypress Semiconductor, Cyrix Corporation, and Lotus Development. LJ’s prior experience with Texas Instruments includes semiconductor technical development for MOS integrated circuits, magnetic thin film memories and opto-electronics. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
H. Berry Cash
Strategic Partner
Berry founded the Berry Cash Southwest Partnership in 1983 and has been a general partner with InterWest Partners since 1985. He has been an advisor to CenterPoint for six years as well as a Limited Partner of all three funds. He currently serves on the board of directors of Ciena (CIEN), i2 Technologies (ITWO), Silicon Laboratories (SLAB), and Airspan (AIRN). Berry was a founding investor in Crystal Semiconductors, Cyrix, Benchmarq Electronics and CIENA. Berry started his career as a marketing engineer at Texas Instruments, departing to become a founder and the Marketing Vice President for Mostek Corporation. As part of Mostek’s top management team for twelve years, Berry helped to guide its growth from startup to $500 million in annual revenue. Following Mostek’s acquisition by United Technologies, Berry was a consultant, both to Apple Computer on the initial Macintosh project and to InteCom on its sales and distribution channels. He has an M.B.A. degree from Western Michigan University and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Thomas H. Aschenbrenner

Tom is a private investor who participates in the venture capital industry through the relationships he established as one of the founders of InteCom, a Dallas-based communications equipment company. He started his career at Bell Labs, and by the mid-1970’s, was instrumental in the development of software that became the foundation of the telephony switching industry. Tom shares office space in Dallas with CenterPoint, InterWest Partners, and the Sevin Rosen Funds. Tom has been a CenterPoint advisor for 6 years.
David F. Bellet

David Bellet is the retired Founder and the Chairman of Crown Advisors International Ltd. which has been providing investment advice to its worldwide clients since 1981. Crown Advisors is devoted to the long term investment of funds in emerging public and private high growth companies. Prior to the founding of Crown Advisors, David had been at Citibank for over 13 years. As a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager he pioneered the use of alternative investments and venture capital for institutional clients in 1975. He currently serves as an independent advisor to several U.S. and international venture capital firms and is a Trustee of the Foundation for Teaching Economics. He received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and his M.B.A. from Columbia University.
William G. Bock

Bill is currently the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Silicon Laboratories (NASDAQ: SLAB), a CenterPoint Ventures portfolio company. Bill is a board member at Mirage Networks and iTKO, both CenterPoint investments. Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Bill spent several years in venture capital, as both a Managing Director at CenterPoint Ventures and General Partner at Verity Ventures. From 1997 to 1999, Bill served as President and Chief Executive Officer of DAZEL Corporation, a provider of electronic information delivery systems. After DAZEL’s acquisition by Hewlett-Packard, he then served as Vice President for HP until 2001. Bill served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tivoli Systems, which he helped take public in 1995 and was later acquired by IBM. Prior to joining Tivoli, Bill successfully completed an IPO at Convex Computer Corporation as CFO in 1986 and then became the Senior Vice President of Sales in 1991. Prior to Convex, he spent nine years in various finance roles at Texas Instruments including the Vice President and Controller of the Data Systems Group. Bill holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University and a M.S. degree in industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
Robert B. Palmer

Bob is an innovator of breakthrough semiconductor technologies, a former Fortune 100 corporate executive and a computer industry expert. As Chairman and CEO of Digital Equipment Corporation, Bob guided its restructuring and negotiated its merger with Compaq to create the world’s second-largest computer manufacturer. Bob is a Board member of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc, a founding member of Mostek, and a veteran executive of United Technologies Corp, having begun his career at Texas Instruments. As former Chairman of the Computer Systems Policy Project, Bob represented the computer industry on policy issues to the U.S. government. He has also served on the boards of leading industry, research and economic development institutions. Bob holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics and an M.S. degree in Physics from Texas Tech University. He received an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science Degree from Bentley College.
Joshua Ruch

Joshua co-founded Rho Capital Partners and is currently its Managing Partner. A Limited Partner in all three CenterPoint Funds, Rho is a New York-based investment firm with over $2 billion under management. Rho’s activities include venture capital investing in the information technology, technology, telecommunications, Internet and healthcare sectors, as well as investing in private equity funds and public securities. Currently, Joshua sits on the Boards of BC International, GenVec, Inotek, Sionex and WiNetworks.
Steve Wallach

Steve is currently the Chief Technology Officer of Convey Computers, a CenterPoint portfolio company. Previously, Steve was the Chief Technical Officer of Chiaro Networks, Ltd., also a CenterPoint portfolio company. Prior to Chiaro, Steve was Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Hewlett-Packard Company’s Convex Technology Center. He has extensive experience in the computer industry, both hardware and software. He holds 33 patents, has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering, an IEEE fellow, and serves on numerous university, venture capital and U.S. government advisory boards.
